By zealously advocating for every child’s best educational interest, Voice Advocates will provide children involved with NYC’s Family Court an opportunity to be heard throughout the overwhelming judicial process, turning school-to-prison pipelines into perpetuating cycles of success. Voice Advocates will accomplish this by enlisting and training a corps of high-performing college graduates and professionals who make two-year commitments to become knowledgeable advocates and mentors for children who have either had the misfortune of becoming court-involved or are at risk of becoming court-involved imminently. Further, we will inspire our advocates to pursue careers in education reform as we play a vital role in developing the next generation of social justice change-makers.
